According to local reports, the man has been arrested and denies the accusation.

The woman was also medically examined, sources said.

According to the investigation, the woman and her friends visited several bars in Ayia Napa. At some point during the night, the 19-year-old introduced herself.

The pair, who are both believed to be from England, partied together in a nightclub before heading back to the hotel where they were both staying.

According to the 19-year-old, the woman fell asleep in his room in the early morning hours while wearing her clothes, the local news site reported News reporter said.

However, according to the woman, she woke up around 5:30 a.m. and realized that both she and the man had undressed. She also claimed that the man helped her get dressed and carried her back to her own hotel room.

But when she returned to the room, the woman felt as if someone had had sex with her, investigators said.

She told police that if the suspect had actually had sex with her, he took advantage of her intoxication.

The man denies raping the woman and has given investigators details about his behavior that night, which he says refute the allegations.

He will be held by police for five days while the investigation continues.
