A British mother is looking for her teenage daughter who has been missing in Turkey for over a week.

Skyler Watkins, 17, went missing in the municipality of Fethiye, a port city in Mugla province, on Turkey’s southwestern coast, while on holiday with her family, according to local media.

Her concerned mother, Gemma Thorpe, has appealed to local authorities to help find her daughter.

Police and gendarmerie have confirmed to local media that they are now actively searching for Skyler and searches have begun in the area where she disappeared.
