British husband faces six years in prison for adultery after being caught having sex with his mistress by police thanks to a tip from his suspicious wife in the Philippines
- Kevin Robert Stitt, 36, was placed under police surveillance at his wife’s request
- Adultery and “concubination” are illegal in the Philippines and carry prison sentences
A British husband has been arrested after allegedly being caught having sex with his mistress at his family home in the Philippines.
Kevin Robert Stitt, 36, was placed under police surveillance – adultery and concubinage are illegal in the Catholic country – after complaints from his suspicious wife that he was having an affair.
The motorcycling Briton was followed by officers who saw him return to a property he shared with his Filipino wife, while she was out to see family in Cebu province in the mid-afternoon of July 4.
Officers then stormed into the house in the Moalboal coastal town of Tuble to find Mr Stitt and his alleged mistress Rowena Torres, 30, lying in bed together ‘in the act’.

An officer from Moalboal Police Station said in a telephone interview today: ‘The Briton is the subject of an investigation. He has his own lawyer. His name is Kevin Robert Stitt.’
The Moalboal Police Station confirmed that the pair had been caught red-handed and taken into custody.
The officer added, “The woman came to ask us for help. The house where they were found was a marital home.
“They were sleeping together when the officers went in at 1:40 p.m.”
Mr Stitt is facing charges of marital infidelity, which carries a six-year prison sentence.
Meanwhile, his alleged Filipino lover, Ms. Torres, could be charged with concubinage, which carries a prison sentence of up to four years.
Officers said the investigation into the incident is ongoing and the man, woman and alleged mistress are being interviewed.
