A former British chief designer at Rolls-Royce has been found dead on the doorstep of his £3million mansion after being stabbed.
Ian Cameron, 74, was found in his home in Germany on Friday evening, having been stabbed by a man, local media reported.
It happened in a house in Herrsching on the Ammersee in Upper Bavaria, where an extensive search was carried out for escape routes and evidence.
The CCTV above the garages where his precious vehicles were kept had the power cables cut, The sun reported.

Verena Kloos managed to get to the neighbors and call the police
Police have launched a manhunt for the killer after Cameron’s wife jumped over a wall to escape.
Verena Kloos managed to reach her neighbors’ house and call the police.
Mr Cameron was a classic car expert and retired from Rolls-Royce in 2013.
This was after working at the company for 20 years, where I had worked on the design of cars such as the 3 Series, Z8, Phantom and Ghost.
Police called it a “violent crime” and said the attacker fled the home on foot.
Search teams are using dogs and a helicopter to track him down.
But an officer told The Sun it is “extremely rare” for a burglar who prepares to disable CCTV cameras to then “stab and kill” someone.
The suspect is said to be between 180 and 190 cm tall, wearing light-colored pants and a dark blue hoodie, carrying a red backpack and yellow-green gloves.
