A British father has died while on a snorkeling holiday with his family in St. Kitts.
An autopsy is currently underway to determine the cause of death of the as-yet unnamed British subject.
Local press says he arrived in St. Kitts on Monday, March 27 aboard the cruise ship P&O Britannia.
He was part of a large group and was on holiday with his wife and daughter on a 14-day trip from Barbados to Southampton.
It is unclear whether he drowned or died of natural causes.
The man was pulled from the water, where another tourist tried unsuccessfully to resuscitate.
He was pronounced dead by the District Medical Officer.

Gareth Weekes, a former newspaper editor, was on a sailing trip near St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Locals at his home in Devon said Weekes would be a “huge loss to our community.”
Ian Simpson, 55, died late last year while snorkeling with his son in the Dominican Republic.
Simpson did not surface in choppy waters off Caleton de Bruno beach in the town of Cabrera.
Local residents took a small fishing boat in the middle of the night and found his body nearby.
