The mother-of-one captioned the clip: “I absolutely love this!”

“We’ve been living in America for a few months now, but this is something we’ve only just found out about and it blew my mind,” she said.

Amber explained that a few weeks ago, she and her husband heard a knock on the door and went to open it, thinking it was a package delivery.

However, it was just a ‘drunk’ man asking for a charger.

When the lovebirds told their friends about the encounter, they told Amber that postal workers don’t ring or knock.

Amber explains: ‘Then we discovered that deliveries were apparently incorrect. Since then, I’ve really paid attention over the past few weeks. There is no delivery person or postman knocking.

‘Even when I have fresh groceries delivered, they don’t knock. They just leave them on the sidewalk.”

She noted that in Britain every delivery person knocks on your door, and if you don’t answer, you’ll be “lucky” if they leave your package on your doorstep.

Americans flooded the comments section, giving Amber some tips on how to get lost in following her move

‘I find this very strange, but I think I like it. “It means it doesn’t matter if you’re inside or not, your package will be left behind,” she said.

At the end of the clip, Amber noted that even though it’s “really weird,” she likes it because she’s “antisocial.”

One person said, “I’m sure things are still being stolen off the porch, lol, that’s why we need doorbell cameras.”

Someone else wrote: ‘American rule, don’t open the door.’

‘Only expensive deliveries are correct. We don’t open the door unless we are expecting someone. I’m knocking DoorDash because too many of mine have been taken to the wrong place or stolen,” another user added.

One user commented: ‘Ours was right, we had to put up a note telling them not to do that. LOL.’
