Britain’s Got Talent’s Bruno Tonioli hits Golden Buzzer a second time

Bruno Tonioli got in trouble when he pressed his Britain’s Got Talent Golden Buzzer for the second time in this series during the Sunday episode of the show.

Blues singer Gamal John left 67-year-old Bruno and his fellow judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon stunned after his impressive audition, leaving the panel gassed as the theater audience gave the hopefuls a standing ovation.

As the crowd shouted for one of the judges to press their golden buzzer, Alesha expressed that she wished she had another buzzer to press, while presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly stuck their heads out of their wings to hold on that they had already used up theirs too.

However, former Strictly Come Dancing panellist Bruno took it upon himself to press once again after Gamal’s rendition of James Brown’s It’s A Man’s Man’s Man’s World, despite having done so before in the series.

As the ‘X’ on the front of Bruno’s desk turned gold, no confetti rained from the ceiling as Simon held his head in his hands and Amanda told Bruno, “You only get one!”

Born to perform: Blues singer Gamal John left Bruno and fellow judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon stunned after his impressive audition

“We’re about to be fired,” Simon told Gamal. That being said, Bruno is a new judge and once you give something you can’t take it away. You know what, really, I think we all think alike.’

Ant and Dec then ran onto the stage with confetti cannons to make sure Gamal got the Golden Buzzer treatment as the metallic paper rained down over his head as he hugged his son who had seen him audition.

It comes after Chief Judge Simon Cowell revealed fellow judge Bruno Tonioli was ‘humiliated’ after making a blunder with his golden buzzer in an earlier episode of this series premiere of Britain’s Got Talent.

Twinkling star Bruno made the accident after he excitedly pressed his golden buzzer for Ugandan dance act Ghetto Kids before they finished their performance.

The judges are supposed to wait until the end of the act to decide if they want to use the special buzzer, but Bruno got too excited and sent the episode into chaos.

Reflecting on the hilarious moment, music mogul Simon, 63, told MailOnline exclusively: ‘Well, that was pretty quick! It was the second or third day.

“I laughed my ass off and thought, ‘You sure haven’t seen the show, have you?’ And then I thought, “Actually, this is brilliant, because it’s never happened before.”

And the act didn’t seem to care. They were happy. I was happy for the group because they really deserved it.

Misunderstanding: It comes after Chief Judge Simon Cowell revealed fellow judge Bruno Tonioli was ‘mortified’ after making a blunder with his golden buzzer in an earlier episode

‘And when I looked at Bruno’s face, he was happy. When someone ran up to him and said, “Well, you should do it at the end,” he was mortified! I said, ‘It doesn’t matter, Bruno. You just gave them the Golden Buzzer. Who cares?’

Bruno also talked about the fiasco, saying, ‘I saw them thinking, ‘Actually, this is genius’. And all I had to do was press the gold buzzer. Now, holding up my hands, I now realize I had to wait until after they performed to press it! I just felt it in my bones and went for it!

Simon laughed hysterically. Frankly, I had no idea. No one ever really explained that process to me. I only knew I had a gold buzzer, but they never told me when to press it!’ It all turned to chaos when Bruno pressed his golden buzzer midway through the act’s performance.

Britain’s Got Talent continues on ITV this Saturday at 8pm.
