Britain’s Got Talent viewers in disbelief over singing animated cat crooning Michael Bublé

“Did the judges just applaud like seals for nothing in front of them?” Viewers of Britain’s Got Talent stand in disbelief at the singing animated cat

Viewers of Britain’s Got Talent stood in disbelief at an unusual act on Saturday night’s episode.

The act, which was a singing cat named Noodle, appeared animated and moving in time with a backing track as it sang Michael Bublé.

Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli loved the act and received four yeses to advance to the next round.

But several fans were confused and unimpressed on Twitter as they wondered what the judges and audience actually saw on stage during the audition.

One person said, “Did the entire audience and judges just applaud like seals for nothing in front of them?”

Someone else said, “Noodle the cat?” What’s going on, please? I have the feeling that I did magic mushrooms in Amsterdam that time and that it went completely wrong.’

Another person wrote, “What even happened to this show,” while someone added “why are they pretending they can see this animated cat?”

Elsewhere, a separate commenter wrote, ‘so the cat is just fake? wtf did the judges and audience say?’

And someone else said, ‘I’m trying to figure out how/what/why that cat could be an act, what do I see? Do the judges see that too? wtf.’

Not everyone was impressed with the act, with one person writing, “Singing computer-generated cat, now I’ve seen it all.” I actually liked it.’

It comes after viewers of Britain’s Got Talent were left furious on Saturday during the show’s final episode when new judge Bruno allowed his vote for an act to be influenced by the public.

The former Strictly Come Dancing panelist, who took part in the ITV talent show for the first time in this series, was tasked to bring his professional dance skills to the first auditions of the night.

Romeo and Icy with twinkling toes took the stage to show off their slick moves after talking about how they met at a party and decided to create their entertaining act.

However, despite their energetic display, the panel was divided, with Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden deciding to send them through to the next stage, while Bruno and Alesha Dixon thought they were not up to par.

Things soon changed when the crowd became hostile to Bruno as he cast his vote, jeering and booing him in an attempt to get him to change his mind.

Luckily for the audience at the audition, Bruno relented and decided to change his vote to a ‘yes’, allowing Romeo and Icy to advance to the next stage of the competition.

However, the situation did not sit well with viewers at home, with many taking to Twitter to express their frustration.

Someone wrote: ‘What good is a jury if the audience changes the result of an average dance duo. Bad Twist and Pulse imo.’

While someone else asked: ‘Since when does the public have a say?!’
