The first semi-final of this year’s show kicked off with some eye-popping scenes as new judge Bruno Tonioli, 67, paraded his pecs in front of the cameras.

Former Strictly Come Dancing panelist Bruno ripped his shirt apart to show off his toned torso after saying he would be showing his muscles in ‘solidarity’ for Amanda and fellow judge Alesha Dixon after some viewers criticized their revealing attire .

Actress and radio host Amanda, 52, made sure all eyes were on her as she wore a form-fitting canary yellow dress with a bold plunging neckline.

The fishtail garment featured a corset top that perfectly accentuated her hourglass figure, with the star jumping up on the judges desk to dance for the audience as the show began.

Singer Alesha, 44, looked just as gorgeous as she wore a corset top but in red, which she paired with a matching skirt and loose sleeves.

It comes after Bruno lashed out at the ‘snowflakes’ who think fellow judges Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon are showing ‘too many boobs’.

Amanda received a record 663 Ofcom complaints after wearing a revealing dress on the show in 2017 and continues to wear spectacular outfits on the show year after year.

Bruno said, ‘Why complain because it’s a beautiful woman wearing a dress?

“I’d say, ‘Please show me more!’ I don’t understand how retarded we’ve become. A beautiful woman in a beautiful dress, what’s wrong with that? How can that be offensive. I do not understand.

We’re going back 50 years in time! It’s utter nonsense! I will flex my chest muscles in solidarity. They are snowflakes.

“These two girls are so beautiful, so glamorous and so well dressed. I’ll have to wear something that’s just as low cut. I do like a bit of sparkle, but I can’t compete with that.

“I’ll have to be unbuttoned to the navel to compete with Amanda!”

Judge Amanda’s Got Talent’s revealing outfit received more complaints in 2017 than any other television moment, according to Ofcom.

The June 1 episode – in which the ITV star wore a daring dress cut to the navel – sparked some 663 complaints in September that year, the watchdog said.

Amanda wore Julien Macdonald’s controversial £11,250 dress after admitting days earlier that she was seeking complaints, as she joked: ‘Will people complain to Ofcom? I hope so, I really do.’

A year earlier, the final of Britain’s Got Talent saw 90 complaints about Alesha and Amanda’s clothing choices sent to Ofcom – and 200 to ITV, although the regulator deemed them both ‘suitable’ for the show.

Speaking to promote the show’s live finale, Bruno said he felt like he was fully accustomed to the job after completing his first season in the role.

In the first semi-final of this year’s series, dance group United 2 Dance, singer Gamal John, magician Enzo Weyne and freerunning trio Parkour Collective took the stage.

‘Fartist’ Ichikawa Koikuchi, dancer Musa Motha and singers Abi Carter-Simpson and Amy Lou also performed.

The show got off to a chaotic start when Ant McPartlin accidentally slipped onto the stage.

The first live semi-final kicked off with hosts Ant and Declan Donnelly introducing the four judges, Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli.

They then surprised the audience with their special guests, 2009 BGT Diversity winners performing on stage.

At the end, the leader of the dance group Ashley Banjo ran forward as Ant and Dec came running towards him.

But Ant’s feet slid right out from under him and he slammed to the ground in a hilarious entrance.

The judges burst into laughter when Ant stood up again and Dec asked if he was okay.

He replied, “I wet myself and farted at the same time!”

Laughing at the blunder, the hosts made their way to the judges to talk before the show.

Amanda didn’t hesitate and asked Ant, “Is your coccyx okay?”

He assured her he was fine and Simon joked that this was the comedy duo’s best entrance yet.

Dec took the opportunity after the break to reenact the fall in slow motion, much to Ant’s dismay.

Ant joked, “I’m making a claim! That was a very slippery stage.’

Dec added, “You’d better become a lawyer.”

Viewers at home couldn’t help but react to the hilarious moment and took to Twitter to express their amusement.

A third praised: “Poor ant! He’s handled it so well because of the pain and embarrassment of everyone who milks it.”

The finals of Britain’s Got Talent continue on Tuesday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
