Britain’s Got Talent star set to make a return – as judge Amanda Holden ‘considers a move to the US’

A Britain’s Got Talent star is making a welcome return to the ITV show.

Ashley Banjo has revealed that he and Diversity, who won the talent show in 2009, will be performing on one of the series’ live shows.

The dance troupe has made a number of appearances on the show over the years, including that controversial BLM-inspired routine in 2020, with member Perri Kiely noting that they have no plans to “break tradition.”

Their comeback comes amid reports that judge Amanda Holden is reportedly considering leaving the UK and moving to the US after visiting the set of America’s Got Talent.

The TV star is said to be considering a move to Hollywood after a two-week meeting with producers in Los Angeles.

And while her future on the show may be up in the air, Ashley shared that he and his group look forward to getting back on the BGT stage.

He told MailOnline: ‘I’m sure we’ll be back this year – we’ve performed more on Britain’s Got Talent and Any Got Talent than any other act in the world. So we’re considering going back.’

While Perri added, “Right now it would be weird to break from tradition and not go back, so I feel like it would be nice to get back to the stage where it all started.”

And despite consistently delivering flawless performances throughout their nearly 15-year career, Perri admitted that they still get nervous when it comes to performing on the live stage.

He shared, “I’m nervous every time, it’s probably one of the most nerve-wracking gigs we do. Every time I get nervous before every performance, but when you’re back on BGT you almost have a point to prove.

He added that it’s “crazy” that they’ve kept coming back almost 15 years after winning the show, adding that each time they want to prove they “deserved” to be there.

The dancer went on to say he’s “gassed” to take to the BGT stage again, confirming that fans will see them “someday this series.”

Meanwhile, while Diversity’s comeback is confirmed, what they’ll actually perform isn’t quite set in stone yet.

Perri joked that he “wished” they were prepared, but at the time, the routine was still in choreographer “Ashley’s” head, noting that the group will likely perfect their performance just a week before the show.

Meanwhile, Amanda is rumored to have visited the set of Simon Cowell’s show America’s Got Talent and got along with judges Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara.

Her daughter Lexi, 17, would also consider going to university in the US and has looked at studying in LA, Boston or New York.

Amanda shares Lexi and a younger daughter Hollie, 11, with her music producer husband Chris Hughes, who she tied the knot with in 2008.
