Britain’s Got Talent judges give extra JOINT golden buzzer to one-legged dancer after being booed

“Okay, I’m crying!” Britain’s Got Talent fans in tears as judges break rules and give an extra JOINT gold buzzer to one-legged dancer after being booed by the crowd

Britain’s Got Talent fans were in tears on Saturday’s final audition show as the judges awarded a joint golden buzzer to an act for the first time.

Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and Bruno Tonioli were visibly moved when Musa Motha, a South African native whose leg was amputated at age 10 due to cancer, was stunned with a vigorous dance routine.

The former footballer, 27, who now lives in London, shared how, after giving up on his sporting dreams, he learned to dance with the help of his friends.

Despite being impressed with the performance and giving Musa a standing ovation, the judges were unable to give him a golden buzzer as it had already been used in previous auditions, leading to a booing from the audience.

This led to the judges breaking the rules and making the decision to hit the buzzer collectively, meaning eight acts will advance through the golden buzzer to the semi-finals for the first time.

Usually six acts get a golden buzzer, with each of the judges getting one, while Ant and Dec share one.

This year, however, two of the judges had used their buzzer twice, meaning eight acts besides Musa will go straight through to the semi-finals.

Musa wowed the judges and audience alike with his moving dance to Naughty Boy and Beyoncé’s song Runnin’, in which he used his crutches to elevate his movements.

He was rewarded with a standing ovation, with Amanda looking visibly emotional, while presenters Ant and Dec stated the performance was ‘sensational’.

The crowd then began chanting “golden buzzer” to the judges, to which the foursome replied that there was “nothing left” and their hands were tied.

As they sat down to offer their critique, Alesha said the routine was one of the most “extraordinary auditions” she’d seen, adding that she had “so much admiration” for the dancer.

While Bruno added it was “exceptional” before he was then drowned out by boos from the crowd as they demanded that Musa be given a golden buzzer.

The former Strictly Come Dancing star yelled at the audience for using them all, adding that if he hit the golden buzzer again after his buzzer mishap earlier in the series, show bosses would kill me.

The judges looked at each other in despair amid the crowd’s reaction, with Bruno remarking, “They’re going to be made there!”

It was at this point that Chief Judge Simon gave his fellow judges a knowing look and after joining hands and counting down, all four pressed the buzzer at the same time.

The crowd was soon back on their feet as golden confetti rained down on the studio, with a delighted Musa thanking the audience for their support.
