A British man has been arrested on suspicion of the attempted murder of his girlfriend during an argument in an apartment on the outskirts of Mexico City.

The incident prior to his arrest is said to have occurred on August 18 at a property in Extremadura Insurgentes, a neighborhood in southwestern Mexico City known for an urban park called Parque Hundido.

“It was discovered that the suspect had fled to the municipality of Cuernavaca in Morelos for the purpose of evading justice and the prosecution investigators applied for a warrant of arrest from a judge.
