Veneers are custom-made coverings of tooth-colored porcelain or composite that are cemented onto the surface of the teeth to correct certain dental problems.

Traditional porcelain veneers like the ones Palin received can cost between $925 and $2,500 per tooth and last 10 to 15 years.
