The 2032 Brisbane Olympics are being trolled by Australians. An unofficial logo has been shared on social media featuring some very questionable Queensland icons.

In eight years’ time, Brisbane will host the world’s largest sporting event and designers have been busy creating iconic emblems for the Games.

However, recently an unofficial logo caused a stir online as many Australians thought it was real.

The logo features a map of Australia and includes an image of an ibis, a sausage and a crocodile, apparently representing the Brisbane River.

Fans online strongly opposed the design, with one TikTok user’s response going viral.

“If you thought the Paris Olympics were a flop, look at the Brisbane logo they just announced for the 2032 Olympics,” content creator Sebbylaz told his 4.4 million followers.

‘Oh my God! Have you ever seen anything more Australian?

“The fact that we are laying claim to our brown, dirty river is insane. The athletes were afraid to swim in the Siene (river)… babes, you’re in for a treat.

‘They were afraid of catching a little areola disease in the Siene, you don’t have time to catch anything because a bull shark will kill you first.

‘This will be the first Olympic Games that we actually win because everyone is too scared to come to Australia and compete.

‘The fact that they’ve got a Bunning’s snag and a bin chicken (Ibis) is kind of iconic actually. I respect that. The only thing missing here is the C-word – I’m surprised it’s not in the middle there.’

The viral video generated more than a thousand comments, with many people also surprised by the design.

“That’s a lot to process,” one fan responded.

“Did Raygun design this?” joked another.

“Surviving Australia should be an Olympics in itself,” said a third.

Others agreed with the concept, saying it suited the country.

“The recording of the chicken bowl is amazing!” said one user.

“Honestly, I quite like this logo for Australia,” another commented.

“I think it’s cute, nostalgic, vintage and understated,” posted a third.
