I spotted something terrifying when I walked out my door this morning and have no idea what it is

An Australian was surprised to see an unexpected guest in his home.

The Brisbane man spotted a yellow cockroach next to the window and had no idea what type of insect it was, or if there were others lurking.

He shared an image on Reddit and asked: ‘What is this? And should I send it to the maker?’

Unlike common brown cockroaches, this one was yellow and orange, and in the sun its wings appeared translucent.

Fellow Redditors were quick to point out that the bug was most likely a native cockroach, usually found in warm, tropical environments.

“Native cockroaches are actually strangely beautiful,” one wrote, while another said: “Native cockroaches are good, just move them outside to your garden.”

A third described the bug as “a friend, not an enemy.”

Although another person joked about it looking “radioactive.”

Someone else said: ‘Golden Snitch. You win!’

Last week a mother was left scratching her head after discovering a strange trail along her skirting boards at home.

The Victoria woman was stunned to see a line of tiny spots on her skirting board all the way to the floor.

Many warned that she should call an exterminator, as this was a sign that her house was infested with termites.

‘Does anyone have any idea what this is?? Any help would be greatly appreciated,” she wrote in a message to Bunnings mothers Australia.

Some were stunned and shared their suspicions, including white ants and cockroaches.
