Brisbane Heat have won the final of the Big Bash League after a resounding victory over the Sydney Sixers.

A record crowd at the SCG on Wednesday watched the Heat dominate their rivals, with captain Moises Henriques – who played despite having Covid – unable to stop the attack.

In the end, the Sixers were nowhere near chasing the Heat’s mammoth first-innings total of 166, falling well short.

It is the second time that Brisbane has won the competition.
