Brisbane crash: Motorcyclist feared dead after collision between bike and car at busy intersection

A motorcyclist has been seriously injured and feared dead after a horror crash at a busy intersection.

The man, in his 30s, collided with a parked car at the intersection of Adelaide and Queen streets in Brisbane’s CBD about 7.40am on Thursday.

He was reportedly thrown from his motorcycle and then hit by an oncoming car.

Queensland Police have closed the intersection, which is expected to be closed for several hours.

Several ambulance crews were also called to the scene.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said the man was treated at the scene and not taken to hospital.

Motorists are urged to avoid the area.

Emergency services were seen holding a tarp around the motorcyclist.
