Brisbane Broncos supporter holds off four security officers before being ejected from NRL match

Stubborn Brisbane Broncos supporter thwarts FOUR security guards’ efforts before finally being ejected from NRL match

  • Happened at Broncos v Panthers game
  • The man resisted security’s attempts to remove him
  • The police had to intervene

A Brisbane Broncos supporter had to be forcibly removed from Suncorp Stadium during the NRL game against the Penrith Panthers on Thursday evening.

However, the determined fan did everything he could to stay in his seat, fighting off the efforts of four guards before finally giving in.

In the video, the man can be seen sitting next to a female Broncos supporter and talking calmly to a solo security guard.

It is not known what the discussion was about, but the situation quickly escalated.

As the woman continued to finish her drink, another security guard arrives at the scene along with the stadium staff and the man furiously continues to make his point with hand gestures.

The footage then cuts to the guards and stadium staff attempting to move the man from his seat as he resists.

The woman talks to the man as two more security offers arrive on the scene to help remove the agitated fan.

It is only when two Queensland Police officers arrive that the man stops resisting and is walked down the hall and presumably out of the stadium.

Queensland Police confirmed that two men, a 24-year-old and a 31-year-old, were given directions during last night’s NRL match.

The same 24-year-old man was subsequently arrested and charged three times for disorderly conduct, violating directions near a licensed property and obstructing police

The latest incident at a Broncos game comes after growing frustration among residents living near Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium. Locals voiced their complaints in May last year about the appalling behavior of rugby league fans.

Residents living in the inner-city suburb of Milton, particularly on Clifton Street, where most fans leave after games, have faced numerous issues after Broncos games.

Residents reported witnessing public urination, sexual acts and being forced to remove vomit and feces from their property.

The situation escalated the same month when a violent brawl broke out at Suncorp Stadium, leaving spectators stunned.

The police intervened, evicting three people involved in the brawl and imposing fines for disorderly conduct.
