An alleged security breach has brought Brisbane airport to a standstill, leaving passengers in the lurch.
The breach occurred on Tuesday morning as hundreds of people forced their way through the security gates.
Security stopped letting passengers through while they searched for the cause of the breach, however, it managed to resume operations just before 9am local time.
‘The projection has now been restarted. Expect some delays with processing through checkpoints. The detection teams appreciate your patience,” the airport said.

Passenger queues snaked through the terminals as they waited for the airport to resume operations.
