Caitlin Clark was once again the center of attention in the Indiana Fever locker room Saturday night after recording the first rookie triple-double in WNBA history.
Her incredible performance on the court against the Phoenix Mercury further cemented her Rookie of the Year status, and her teammates were quick to compliment her (and shower her with compliments!) after the game.
In a stunning moment captured on video, Clark is praised by her head coach before being doused with water by her adoring peers.
“This is the first time in franchise history that a rookie has had a triple-double,” Christie Sides can be heard saying, before pointing to Clark sitting next to her.
This led to cheerful scenes, with the team running up to her and emptying their water bottles over her head, much to Clark’s surprise.

She sits down and accepts the affection, before wringing out her shirt as she is handed the match ball.
Clark’s response made the internet even more excited about her, praising the rest of the team instead of taking all the credit herself.
“Well done everyone,” the 22-year-old is heard saying.
Fans were quick to praise the actress’s “modest” response on social media, with one saying: “She doesn’t like to draw attention to herself during intimate moments or in the dressing room.
‘She shows her true colors on the field…what a team player and person…well done Caitlin Clark, you are truly special.’
Another added: ‘Of course she gives a shoutout to the team because she is the most humble player in the wnba!!!!’
In the 83-78 win over the New York Liberty, Clark scored 19 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and dished out 13 assists.
The No. 1 pick in the WNBA draft was one rebound away from a triple-double in an 88-82 win over Phoenix Mercury two games ago.
Clark had 11 points in the first quarter, making 3 of 4 from 3-point range. She reached double figures in assists in the third quarter and surpassed the 10-rebound mark in the fourth.

Chicago’s Chennedy Carter (7) believes Angel Reese should win the Rookie of the Year award, even though
Despite the accomplishments, not everyone in the WNBA agrees on who should win the Rookie of the Year award. Angel Reese’s teammates on the Chicago Sky clearly belong to the Bayou Barbie camp.
Chennedy Carter, who led the team with 33 points in Chicago’s recent win over Seattle, told the ION broadcast after the game that Reese is the favorite to be recognized as the league’s best young player — not Clark.
“Barbie’s Rookie of the Year. There’s no other way to say it,” Carter said.
“She goes out there, she does her job every night, no matter what team we’re facing. I’m telling you, Barbie’s Rookie of the Year, absolutely.”
