A man has been left partially blind after allegedly being attacked by a skateboarder, as police continued to search for the alleged assailant.
The 64-year-old man was reported to have been beaten several times on Normanby Street at The Esplanade in Melbourne, Brighton, at 12:30am on March 30.

The man can be seen in the photos riding an electric skateboard and wearing a white T-shirt and hat, gray shorts and Nike shoes.
The 64-year-old man was driving his car before being attacked.
Police said he came up behind a younger man on an electric skateboard and beeped to let him know he was behind him for safety reasons.
Police said the skateboarder approached the vehicle, pounded the car, and verbally assaulted the passenger and driver.
The driver got out to calm the situation before walking back to his car.
The man was punched from behind several times and continued to assault as he fell to the ground, police said.
Police have said the alleged victim suffered significant injuries, including a broken eye socket, which caused him to lose some of his sight.
The skateboarder was driving towards Brighton Baths in the direction of Elwood, police said.
