Phoebe Dynevor has started filming a new $30 million shark thriller in Melbourne.

The Bridgerton The 29-year-old star has been busy filming the as-yet-untitled thriller in Mornington, southeast of Melbourne, this week.

The actress joined Gladiator star Djimon Hounsou’s filming Down Under on Monday and Tuesday, according to The Herald Sun.

Filming also took place in the Macedon Ranges in Victoria, with production set to take place in Canterbury, in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, and at Docklands Studios.

Although few details about the film are known, locals now refer to the mysterious thriller simply as “the shark movie.”

The film is about a community that deals with shark attacks during a hurricane, The Hollywood Reporter Previously reported.

Phoebe will star in the film opposite Whitney Peak, who played Zoya Lott in the recent remake of Gossip Girl, and Djimon Hounsou, who starred opposite Russell Crowe in Ridley Scott’s epic film Gladiator.

The as-yet-untitled film is being produced by Adam McKay and Kevin Messick’s company HyperObject Industries, known for Don’t Look Up, The Big Short and the popular drama series Succession.

The 29-year-old Bridgerton star (pictured as Daphne Basset in the Netflix series) has been busy filming the as-yet-untitled thriller in Mornington, southeast of Melbourne, this week.

The film is directed by writer Tommy Wirkola, whose previous credits include the horror film Dead Snow and the Jeremy Renner thriller Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters.

According to Colin Brooks, Victoria’s Minister for Creative Industries, the film has received support from the state government through the Victorian Screen Incentive Program and will create approximately 700 local jobs.

According to reports, the production will inject $30 million into the local economy.

Before Phoebe appeared in front of the camera, she took some time to meet the native wildlife at Silky Oaks Lodge in Queensland.

The English star shared a series of photos on Instagram showing her playing with kangaroos, watching crocodiles and enjoying the tropical rainforest.

“We had a magical experience staying at @silkyoakslodge in the oldest rainforest in the world,” Phoebe wrote.

‘The bloody lungs of the earth! And we got to snorkel the Great Barrier Reef. Living the Aussie dream.’

This comes after Phoebe recently confirmed her engagement to American actor and influencer Cameron Fuller.

Cameron, 28, is the son of American horror film director Brad Fuller and was first seen with Phoebe in March last year.

Phoebe first unveiled her oval engagement ring, said to be worth £100,000 ($190,000), at the Met Ball in New York last month, but the engagement wasn’t confirmed until days later.

Her mother, actress Sally Dynevor, expressed her joy at her daughter’s happy news last month.

Sally, 61, told UK daytime show Loose Women: ‘My daughter has just got engaged. He’s lovely, he’s such a lovely man.’

“I’m so, so happy. I’m elated, it’s really made my year,” she added.

Phoebe is best known for her role as Daphne in Netflix’s costume drama Bridgerton.
