‘I saw some of it last night and I was bouncing off the walls with excitement, it’s brilliant, it’s brilliantly written. I’m so proud of the cast and crew, but it’s a special one.’
Netflix fans went into a frenzy last year when they released a first look at season three of Bridgerton during the Tudum: A Global Fan Event.
The third series of the hit Regency novel, which follows the eight Bridgerton siblings as they try to find love, continues the love story of Penelope and Colin.
In the final episode of season two, Penelope overheard Colin’s snide comments to the other gentleman about her and has decided to finally give up her long unrequited feelings for him.
Penelope has decided to take a husband during the third season, hopefully one who will allow her independence to continue her double life as Lady Whistledown. On the other hand, Colin returns with a new swagger, but he is discouraged when he finds his good friend Penelope, who always appreciates him, giving him the cold shoulder.
Colin desperately tries to repair his relationship with Penelope and offers to help her build her confidence to find a husband.
When his lessons for her start to pay off, Colin must make a decision whether his feelings are kind or something more.
In the first photos, the pair are seen gazing into each other’s eyes as they beam in their finery.
In another moment, Penelope and Colin seem quite close as they become more serious in their roles.
Penelope appears distressed as she sits alone in a window seat with her hand covering her face in the last photo.

Also at the end of last season, Penelope’s best friend and Colin’s sister Eloise (Claudia Jessie) discovered her scandalous secret that she is Lady Whistledown.
During season three, the rift between Eloise and Penelope continues and becomes increasingly complicated. Penelope will also struggle to keep her identity quiet as her presence in the barrel makes it increasingly difficult.
The Shondaland production will feature Daniel Francis, Sam Phillips and James Phoon joining the cast this season.
Francis will play Marcus Anderson, a charismatic presence who draws the attention of certain matriarchs through the tone and annoyance of others.
Phillips will play Lord Debling, a genial gentleman with unusual interests who has wealth and a noble title to back up his eccentricities and a long line of young romantic interests.
Part 1 of Bridgerton will be released on May 16, 2024 and part 2 will be released on Netflix on June 13, 2024
