Bridgerton casting director says she’s overloaded with ‘unsolicited’ X-rated audition tapes ahead of season four: ‘It’s sex basically’

Bridgerton will have no shortage of actors willing to give it their all for the steamy sex scenes in season four.

Kelly Valentine Henry, the casting director for the racy costume drama, revealed she was showered with X-rated audition tapes during Sunday’s episode Should I remove that? podcasting.

“It happens every day… that I get the most incredible videos, unsolicited,” she explained.

“It’s actually sex, it’s not real sex, but it’s pretty spicy,” she continued. “It’s not nude, but it’s pretty close.”

Henry, who has been involved with the hit Netflix series since its inception, said her inbox is constantly flooded with candidates vying for a shot at fame on the popular series.

She is currently casting for season 4, specifically targeting the role of Sophie Beckett, who intrigues Benedict Bridgerton, played by Luke Thompson.

As they continued their search, Henry noticed that there was a lot of interest in the coveted role. One candidate stood out by sending a huge, sturdy plastic banner of herself wearing a Regency costume.

“It’s actually a bit sad, I don’t understand it,” she added.

The casting director reveals that the third season featured the most raunchy episode ever in Bridgerton’s series.

After being promised that it would be “the most exciting season yet,” Bridgerton fans were left somewhat disappointed by the lack of Regency acts in the early part of season three.

Still, the show’s bosses have more than delivered with the second instalment of the costume drama, with the fifth episode featuring a six-minute sex scene between Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton).

Nicola previously revealed: ‘I think we’ve won the brazenness for this series!’, when she teased that she and Luke had ruined the set with their on-screen adventures.

Narrate Entertainment weekly: ‘We broke a piece of furniture during a scene. It’s kind of like a stunt where they’re like, ‘Okay, we’re going to do this, this, and this.’

‘But then they gave us freedom and we had a lot of say in how we did those scenes and what we wanted to do, and that gives you a very powerful feeling.

“So we felt great. They were actually really fun. I didn’t expect them to be. It was fun.”

Showrunner Jess Brownell admitted that The Hollywood Reporter It will be a long time before viewers see the story of another Bridgerton sibling.

She said, “We’re trying to get the seasons out faster, but it takes eight months to film them. Then they have to be edited and dubbed into all the languages.”

“And the writing also takes a very long time, so we’re at a two-year pace. We’re trying to pick up the pace, but somewhere in that order of magnitude.”
