I’m mad at my bridesmaid for refusing to dye her hair gray for my wedding – people call me horrible but I think it’s ugly
A bridezilla has been slammed online after criticizing her bridesmaid for refusing to cover her gray hair ahead of the wedding.
Earlier this month, the bride-to-be from the UK posted to a wedding planning Facebook group seeking support.
The woman explained how she decided to post anonymously since her boyfriend was also in the group and didn’t want her to know she was being talked about.
The woman who will be getting married in 10 weeks shares her dilemma, explaining: “Today we met for our monthly meeting to go over the agenda and the order of the day.
“When my bridesmaid turned her head, I noticed she has quite a bit of gray hair.”

After the meeting came to an end, the woman said she took her friend aside and “suggested” that they paint it.
The bride continued, “She refused, saying hairdressing appointments are too expensive and she is allergic to dye.”
Since then, the bride says she can’t stop worrying about the impact of her bridesmaid’s gray hair on her big day.
She added, “It’s really ugly and I’m afraid it will take away from the beauty of the dress I chose for her.”
Do you have any tips what I can do? I can’t afford her hair appointment because I’ve run out of my bridesmaid budget.”
In an effort to convey the urgency of the situation, she said: “[My] wedding is in ten weeks and I think her hair is going to get worse. She’s only 30!’
After seeing the post on Facebook, an outraged member of the group shared it Reddit’s Wedding Shaming forum – where hundreds of users disagreed with her point of view.
One of them replied, “I’ll never understand why getting married makes people think it’s okay to act this way.

“Shaming someone for gray hair, frankly, nobody cares! How awful. And monthly meetings??? wtf??’
Another said sarcastically, “OMG in 10 weeks her hair will be all gray. She’ll be all bent over and her teeth will fall out as she stumbles down the aisle.
“The wedding is going to be ruined.”
In defense of the bridesmaid, a third wrote: “I have had gray hair since I was 19. I also guarantee that no one at the wedding will notice, let alone comment.”
“‘Monthly meeting’ ended me before I even got to the gray hair comment,” said a fourth.
The Facebook post was then shared on Reddit’s Wedding Shaming forum – where people labeled the bride as ‘awful’
“If I had to attend monthly weddings, I’d get more grays too,” joked a fifth.
Meanwhile, others pointed out how the bridesmaid could easily tell it was her friend who wrote the post.
“Yes, because the bridesmaid won’t guess the message is about her just because the names have been withheld,” one of them said.
Another mused, “I think she’s given enough detail that her maid of honor will know it’s her…”
