A couple who were mercilessly trolled after sharing photos from their wedding day have revealed the eye-watering cost of undergoing IVF – and the anxiety that comes with it.
Lauren Evens, 31, and Hannah Kaye, 29, got married at their local registry office in September and announced in October that they were expecting triplets.
While the couple is happy to welcome their new additions to the family, they admit they are worried about the criticism they might receive from haters.
‘People think I married a schoolboy and have his children. They are ridiculous and uneducated,” said Lauren, who also has a 10-year-old son and a nine-year-old daughter from a previous relationship. American sun.
The expectant mother-of-five added: ‘I know the abuse will only get worse now that I’m pregnant.’
The British couple faced a barrage of hurtful online comments after tying the knot, with Lauren falsely accused of being a pedophile because her wife looks so young.
Despite the barrage of disparaging comments, the happy couple are now expecting triplets via IVF, which uses Hannah’s eggs and a sperm donor, while Lauren carries the babies.
Lauren and Hannah spent $11,300 on reciprocal IVF, a fertility treatment option available to same-sex female couples.

In reciprocal IVF, one woman delivers her eggs, which in IVF are retrieved and fertilized by donated sperm, with the resulting embryo (or embryos) implanted into her partner for pregnancy as a surrogate mother, according to Fertility New Jersey.
The couple started their journey in January 2024 and decided to undergo the treatment in Cyprus after realizing it would be much more expensive in Britain.
A video posted on social media earlier this month showed Hannah having her eggs collected, with three embryos recovered.
“They gave us a 75 percent chance that one embryo would survive if we implanted all three embryos,” Lauren explained in the video.
Miraculously, all three stuck around and the couple was thrilled when they discovered they were expecting triplets.
“We knew the chances of the three embryos staying in the womb were incredibly low and the doctors at the clinic advised us this was the best decision,” Lauren said.
After undergoing egg retrieval and implantation in September, the couple were told they would have to wait two weeks before taking a pregnancy test.
But Lauren couldn’t wait and took a test three days later.
However, the British couple faced a barrage of online backlash, with Lauren being falsely accused of being a pedophile because her wife looks so young.

“I just had a feeling,” she recalled.
“When the test came back positive, Hannah and I were overwhelmed.
‘To get a positive pregnancy result three days after implantation is unheard of. It was a miracle.’
Lauren is being closely monitored because the risk is much greater with three babies. The couple warned that the risk of losing one or more babies and triplets can often lead to premature birth.
“It’s another miracle that we’re reaching the three-month mark and all the babies are developing happily,” she explained.
She added that they are “prepared for anything and hoping for the best possible outcome.”
