A blushing bride has revealed she was left red-faced when her mother-in-law tried to sabotage her wedding day by excluding her from her own photos.
The unnamed newlywed took to Reddit to reveal that she had been left ‘hurt’ and frustrated by her husband’s mother.
In a thread titled, Wedding shamethe bride admitted that her mother-in-law tried to outdo her by donning a white dress for her special event.
She revealed that there had been ‘a lot of drama’ in the run-up to the wedding and this prompted her husband’s mother to take family photos without the bride present.
The anonymous woman confessed that despite being the bride, she felt “ignored” as her mother-in-law tried to control her special day.

The message was captioned: “In-laws made changes without asking the bride or groom.”
At the beginning of the post, she explained that even though her wedding took place “a month ago,” she was still ashamed.
She revealed: ‘My wedding was about a month ago and the more I think about it the more ashamed I feel.
‘There was a lot of drama before the wedding. I hoped it would all come together before the wedding and everyone would get over it. They didn’t.
‘My in-laws asked to pay for the rehearsal and we were very grateful for that. They then decided not to tip vendors for the rehearsal, which caused me to have a panic attack in the bathroom during the event.”
In addition to neglecting the vendors at the rehearsal dinner, the bride revealed that her husband’s mother also left her out of the family photos.
‘My parents-in-law then went to take ‘family photos’ during the rehearsal dinner, without me there. I sat at the table next to where the photos were taken and was not asked to participate.
“I even stood up at one point and asked my parents what I should do, and they were shocked. “I don’t have any pictures of myself from the rehearsal or the rehearsal dinner,” she added.

Although the bride thought the chaos would end on her wedding day, she was proven wrong when the drama reached a boiling point during the ceremony.
The bride revealed that her mother-in-law had made a raft of changes without discussing them with her or her husband, leaving them in a fit of rage.
She said: ‘On the day of the actual wedding, my mother-in-law decided to pay the DJ to change the mother-son dance from what she and her son had chosen to an upbeat dance number, without telling my husband, who has hate dancing. He felt very uncomfortable with this decision.
‘My mother-in-law also decided at the last minute to give a speech that she had not prepared. We even asked her at least twice if she wanted to give a speech at the wedding and she declined each time.
‘She told our wedding planner that she was going to give a speech and our wedding planner said she needed approval from the bride and groom. I was never consulted by my mother-in-law.”
And as if the last-minute changes weren’t enough to ruin her special day, the bride admitted she was even more shocked when she discovered her mother-in-law was trying to divert attention from her by wearing a wedding dress – and convince others to do the same.

The Reddit user said: ‘The worst part is that MIL asked all her friends to wear wedding dresses/white dresses to our wedding. Luckily, only one did. It was silver, so not white, but definitely a wedding dress. MIL wore a very light blue dress that was actually white. My friends all came up to me and asked why there were two other people in wedding dresses (MIL and her best friend)
“Overall, I felt ignored as a bride and hurt because everyone allowed this to happen, even when I said my feelings were hurt.
Following her heartbreaking post, people online flooded the comments section and criticized the mother-in-law for her behavior.
