Bride is left horrified after her wedding cakes arrive: ‘the photos don’t do them justice!’

A bride who dreamed of a cluster of white, flower-laden wedding cakes has been left with a pile of clumpy white fondant and tears after choosing the wrong baker.

The bride was super excited to see her wedding vision in cake form and had even given her baker a photo of her dream wedding cake – a three-layer vanilla cake with fresh white fondant, tastefully decorated with flowers and greenery.

She also ordered four “side dishes” so that none of her guests would miss out, and though she knew they would be smaller, she hoped they would have similar charm.

“That was one of the things I was so looking forward to seeing and my partner and I were so unhappy and disappointed with how it turned out,” she said.

She explained the “first look,” a photo of one of the side dishes seemed fine, although people have since taken apart the baker’s photo.

With some wanting to know why it was resting on a couch in a dirty living room and not put on the kitchen bench or table.

“She sent me a picture of a cake and it looked beautiful in the picture, with a text after it ‘It’s not edited,'” she said.

“I thought it was a little strange, but after seeing it in person, I understand why she said that,” she cried.

The bride’s photo of the cakes on display at her wedding shows off every gruesome detail, including a huge seam where the fondant was joined to the back of one of the side cakes.

The clumpy frosting was blotchy on all five desserts, it was so thin in places that the cake showed underneath, but thick and hard in others.

A dark ribbon was tied around the bottom of two cakes, including the worst of the four gabled cakes.

And a white ribbon was wrapped around the other similarly dressed side cookies that were all on oversized silver pie crusts.

They were finished off with a single plastic white rose and some gaudy fake foliage.

The main cake had a giant bubble on the bottom tier that looked like a solid inch of fondant and a huge bunch of the horrible white flowers on the side.

The green was sticking out of the glaze and looked like wild weeds.

The bride explained that she wanted to approach her baker for a discount or for her money back, but didn’t know how to go about it.

And people were furious with her.

The picture of the cake on the dirty couch!?! That is absolutely not approved by OHS Food handling. And what the hell are those ugly leaves sticking out, swaying in the wind,’ a woman asked.

‘I am a baker. I’m so tired of people letting this kind of pie go out of their kitchens, it belongs in the bin,” said another.

While a third claimed she could have done better with the help of a YouTube video and supermarket fondant.

“They just smeared all that frosting on with their fingers, didn’t they? It looks like they’ve never worked with fondant in their lives,” said one woman.

While another said the flowers should be on the cake ‘not in it’.

The photo of the cake on the sofa, according to others, should have been the bride’s first red flag.

“I would have had a problem the moment I received this photo. Why is my cake on your couch,’ one said.

“Please tell me this isn’t poop on the floor,” said another, noticing suspicious stains on the carpet.

The bride admitted that she only gave the baker three weeks to make the cakes, as it was a last-minute order.
