Bride and groom leave their wedding guests stunned with VERY unconventional personalized gifts
When Nadia Howard and Ashley Smith decided to tie the knot, they wanted to share their special day with the people who created their love story in a unique way. So they gave the guests their own story.
The newlyweds movedly thanked everyone present at their wedding by giving each of them a book that has a special connection to them.
The books, which the couple had wrapped in paper that matched their color scheme, included not only a sweet note explaining why they chose the story, but also their table number.
The heartfelt idea became a reality for the couple, who shared it in a video on TikTok during their wedding in Bedford, England.
The clip, which has been viewed more than 140,000 times, shows the adorable touch in great detail.
Newlyweds Nadia Howard and Ashley Smith found a touching way to thank all the guests who attended their wedding by giving them each a book
The couple had set up a bookcase with all the novels, wrapped in pastel-colored paper, with their names and table numbers neatly printed on the spine.
After their guests saw their names on the book, Nadia and Ashley wrote them a letter explaining why they chose that particular book for them.
“We both love reading, so a bookcase was a perfect fit for our day,” Nadia explains in a TikTok video.
In the run-up to the wedding, the bride and groom scoured their own personal collections and thrift stores for the perfect book for each guest.
There were no specific rules. Some choices were based on hobbies, while others simply went by books they thought they would enjoy.
“It was amazing to see the guests’ reactions when they walked into the room and saw the bookcase,” she added.
Nadia and Ashley made the makeshift covers themselves, using a paper trimmer to cut out the letters for the names.
“Once we got used to it, it wasn’t hard, but it did take a lot of time!” they wrote in a TikTok comment.

TikTok users loved the creative and heartfelt idea, with one writing: ‘If someone did this and I went to the wedding and opened the book and it was a book I liked I would cry’
They added that they purposely didn’t use tape or glue so that the books could be donated or re-gifted if guests didn’t like them.
“We folded the covers in such a way that we didn’t use any tape, so that the book would remain undamaged,” Nadia explains.
“We also wrote our message on the cover instead of the book itself, so guests could easily pass the book on or donate it,” she continued.
“A lot of generic wedding favors get thrown away,” Nadia noted. “So I’m hoping this idea doesn’t create more waste, but instead gives a few used books a new life.”

“If someone did that and I went to the wedding and opened the book and it was a book that I liked, I would cry,” one user stated.
‘This is so magical – this is a wedding I would have loved to have attended. Well done,’ agreed another.
“This is absolutely beautiful,” said another. “True involvement in someone’s special day is when they think about your experience as much as they think about their own, and you know those books and the memories will last forever.”
“I’m so happy with how everything turned out,” Nadia raved. “It was really hard work, but it was all worth it in the end.”
