A stone-wielding American tourist went on an alcohol-fuelled vandalism disaster in Thailand before police beat him to the ground with hooks and sticks.
The holidaymaker, dubbed by police as Andigo, 45, was reportedly caught kicking trash cans and vandalizing property along a street before outraged locals confronted him in the afternoon of Oct. 5 in Nakhon Si Thammarat province.
As he was about to crush a parked pickup truck with a brick he found in a ditch, a resident yelled ‘No’ at him, to which he replied, ‘Shut up! Shut your mouth!’
The man, who was wearing a blue shirt, pants and a necklace, reportedly continued to curse locals and damaged five homes, a car and a scooter before police responded in the area to arrest him.
The holidaymaker, dubbed by police as Andigo, 45, was reportedly caught kicking trash cans and vandalizing property along a street before angry locals confronted him in Nakhon Si Thammarat province on the afternoon of October 5.

Car owner Soontorn Chumchoo said: “I saw this man strolling the streets, kicking every garbage can and damaging property.
“He even threatened four other houses before railing against us. He smelled strongly of whiskey.’
Despite being asked to leave, the American hit the vehicle twice with the hard object as the concerned female car owner followed him.
After chasing the car owner away, he pushed a parked scooter and yelled “don’t touch me” to a concerned resident who tried to pull him off the two-wheeler.

Police Colonel Boonchuen Lim Prachuappong, Superintendent of Khanom Police Station, said: “The foreigner is an American citizen who entered the country on a one-month tourist visa.”

Police Colonel Boonchuen Lim Prachuappong added: “We have now contacted the Thai Police Immigration Office about his past conduct, as well as the US Embassy in Bangkok to inform them of the legal proceedings.”
