The house was cordoned off as a crime scene when Queensland Police launched an urgent investigation into her mysterious death and her movements in the 48 hours before her body was found.
“At this stage we are conducting investigations as a homicide, we have no confirmed suspects at this stage,” Detective Inspector Ben Fadian said.
“To date, our information is that the deceased lady was the only person living in the house at the time.
“In terms of the crime scene itself, I am unable to elaborate on what it contained as it is still subject to investigation.
“It’s very early stages of the investigation, so we’re keeping an open mind… Whether it’s a home invasion or something else.”
