Washington Commanders’ Brian Robinson was reportedly shot in the leg and hip in an attempted robbery on Sunday.
In a statement Sunday night, a DC Metro Police spokesman said the shooting occurred just before 6:00pm local time along the H Street Corridor near Ben’s Chili Bowl in the northeast part of the city. The spokesman added they are looking for two juveniles in relation to the shooting.
It was revealed Monday morning that the 23-year-old was hit in both the leg and hip and the incident took place at Crab Boss, not Ben’s Chili Bowl, according to WTop News.
Just hours after the incident Robinson’s Washington Commanders teammates returned to practice Monday.
The 23-year-old thankfully did not suffer life threatening injuries, with Washington coach Ron Rivera saying he ‘will be back soon doing what he does best.’
Robinson’s position-mates were on the practice field Monday, however, with running backs coach Randy Jordan huddling his group before they went to go work with quarterbacks, per The Washington Times.
