Brentford are in talks to sign Wolves defender Nathan Collins, with the Bees optimistic about a £25 million deal.
The West London side have already turned down a £21 million bid for the Wolves centre-back, but they have not been deterred.
Mail Sport exclusively revealed Brentford’s interest in the 22-year-old, with boss Thomas Frank keen to add a Premier League proven center back to his ranks.
Collins only joined Wolves for £20.5 million from Burnley last summer, after the Midlands side held back late interest from rival clubs including Tottenham Hotspur to sign him.
He is well regarded at Wolves and is not seen as a player they would like to cash in on this summer.

Collins found himself playing regularly for Wolves in the first half of last season, but quickly lost his place around the turn of the year.
Julen Lopetegui – who was appointed in November – opted to drop him in January and Collins was only able to push back into the starting eleven in the last two games of the run.
Brentford have already completed two permanent transfers this summer and signed goalkeeper Mark Flek ahead of David Raya’s expected departure, with Spurs leading the hunt for the Spanish stopper.
Brentford has also made the move from Kevin Schade to a £22 million full-time move.
