Brendan Fraser attended AARP’s Movies For GrownUps Awards Ceremony in Los Angeles on Saturday night.
The 54-year-old entertainer was joined by his longtime partner Jeanne Moore and his The Whale co-star Hong Chau on the red carpet.
His appearance comes after it was announced that he had been nominated for a Best Actor Academy Award for his role in the Darren Aronofsky-directed film.

The Encino Man star offset the dark blue two-piece with a white shirt and black dress shoes.
Chau looked gorgeous in a fringed white dress with a floor-length silver satin skirt.
Her dark brown hair fell down her back and chest in glamorous curls.
Fraser’s longtime love Moore kept it classic in a black spaghetti strap dress with a sexy leg slit.

Fraser is currently making the rounds on the awards circuit after The Whale made its theatrical debut last month following months of anticipation from fans and critics alike.
It is based on the play of the same name by Samuel D. Hunter, and the playwright also wrote the screenplay for the film.
In addition to Fraser and Chau, the film’s cast included impressive performances from Sadie Sink and Ty Simpkins.
The feature centers on a lonely English teacher (Fraser) trying to re-establish a relationship with his daughter (Sink).

The film received a mixed response from critics, though many praised the performances of Fraser, Sink, and Chau.

Earlier this week, it was announced that the celebrated entertainer had been nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor.
He will face Colin Farrell, Bill Nighy, Paul Mescal and Austin Butler for the award, which will be presented on March 12.
