Brendan Fevola reveals the staggering amount he was paid to star on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Brendan Fevola has revealed how much he was paid to appear on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Australia.

The former AFL player, 43, told the Herald Sunthat he was paid $500,000 to participate in the reality show in 2016.

“I had about $500,000. It was $350,000 and then $5,000 a day. All close to half a million,” he revealed.

Brendan also admitted that he had a special clause in his contract that allowed him to smoke.

The sports star was crowned the winner of the show’s second season in 2016, beating out fellow contestants Shane Warne, Anthony Callea and Havana Brown.

He previously revealed that not all stars were paid the same, with the late cricketer Shane receiving a whopping $2.2 million for his time on the show.

“He had a clause in his contract that if he left, he wouldn’t get anything. So he had to stay – and there was a point where he was like, ‘Man, I’m done,’ and I was like, ‘$2.2 million, don’t leave!'” he revealed on Fox’s Fifi, Fev and Nick breakfast show.

Shane was the eighth celebrity to be eliminated from the 2016 season of the show, losing a close battle to Brendan and runner-up, NRL star Paul Harragon.

Earlier this year, Ny Breaking Australia revealed that celebrities for the 2024 season were being paid less.

According to an insider from the Channel 10 survival series, a male cast member took home $90,000 in two weeks this season.

If they endure the notoriously gruesome conditions in the jungle, they will receive an additional $5,000 each day after that, giving them a chance to win $100,000 for their favorite charity.

Skye Wheatley said her salary for the series did not match her regular income as an influencer.

“Honestly, I would make more money if I was at home,” the former Big Brother star, 30, said in an interview with Pedestrian TV.

The social media star added: ‘I would do it for free. It’s for a good cause babes, who gives a f**k about the money.’

Skye’s co-star Callum Hole, 24, told the publication he was “well paid” and deserved more than what he was paid on Love Island.

Khanh Ong, 30, added that after four attempts, producers finally convinced him to join the series, for a much higher fee than his original offer.
