Breeana Robinson death: Cruise ship singer’s bizarre musical about girlfriend who fell to her death from his balcony – after murder charges were sensationally dropped
A man whose murder charges were sensationally dropped a decade after his blind cheerleader girlfriend plunged her to her death from his balcony has written a bizarre fictionalized musical about the case.
Jayden Moorea, formerly known as Dan Shearin, was charged in 2019 with the murder of his girlfriend Breeana Robinson, 21, who died in late January 2013 after falling from his 11th floor balcony in Southport, Gold Coast.
The Gold Coast Titans cheerleader’s death was initially ruled a suicide before the police investigation was reopened in 2017.
Mr Moorea was charged with murder two years later.
But last week, charges against Moorea were dropped after prosecutors determined there were no reasonable prospects of a conviction against him.
And now, in a bizarre case of art imitating life, it has emerged that the former cruise ship singer has written a musical about the ordeal.

‘Through the Eyes of Love’, a 100-page musical, follows the main character, West End heartthrob ‘Jamie Broadway’, who is wrongly accused of involvement in the death of his girlfriend. The courier post.
The fictional musical begins with Jamie Broadway performing as Billy Joel in Piano Man – The Musical, with his acting talents being praised by none other than Joel himself and TV presenter James Corden, both of whom are in the audience.
Another scene involves Broadway having a threesome with two women before typing their names into a spreadsheet titled “Jamie’s Girls,” where the entries are 197 and 198.
Despite his womanizing, the fictional Jamie later falls in love with 20-year-old ‘Breeana Rodwell’ and the happy couple move in together.
But things turn sour when Breeana discovers his spreadsheet of his sexual conquests and a stash of Viagra.
Furious that his girlfriend has looked through his things, Broadway slams the bedroom door and storms out.
It has now emerged that Mr Moorea, a former cruise ship singer, has written a musical about the tragic death of a blind, cheerleading 21-year-old called Breeana, who dies after jumping from her friend’s balcony.

“From a distance, Breeana lets out a BLOOD-FLOWING SCREAM,” the screenplay reads.
The fictional Breeana does not survive the fall and Broadway is implicated in her death and later charged with murder.
During his trial, the prosecutor reveals the Excel spreadsheet with his “girls” and Broadway jokes: “I’m on trial for murder. Don’t be a slut.’
He is found not guilty and celebrates the verdict on the court steps with a ‘passionate’ kiss with his new love interest in front of the waiting media.
The musical ends with Broadway and his new lover traveling to the Maldives, where he has founded the ‘Breana Rodwell School for the Visually Impaired’.
‘As we retreat, our view is framed by two circles. As if someone is watching over them – through glasses,” the script concludes.
“As we retreat further, the circles turn into hearts of love.”
Miss Robinson’s aunt Janine Mackney said the musical scenario was “disgusting” and “another kick in the guts” for the family after murder charges were dropped.
Mr Moorea told the Courier Mail it was “a very old copy” of the script, which was originally written for his own “practice and benefit”.
He said it had since been changed to remove Breeana’s name.
“I certainly didn’t buy it or promote it in any way,” he said.

Miss Robinson’s aunt Janine Mackney (pictured center with Mrs Robinson’s aunt Sharon Rowe, right, and cousin Edyn Mackney, left) said the musical scenario was “disgusting” and “another kick in the guts” for the family after the murder charge was dropped.
Mr Moorea condemned the leak of his musical and stressed that it was ‘not acceptable that Breeana’s family should now have to go through something like this’.
“Breeana’s family is devastated. They have to accept the truth of what just happened,” he said.
“They believed for 10 years that one thing (a murder conviction) would happen, and now they have to grieve again.
“I don’t care because I’m strong enough with everything the media has done to me, but there’s a family involved in this. People’s lives, people’s well-being.’
Moorea has always protested his innocence over Mrs Robinson’s death and even published a book about the case called The Blame Game, under his previous name, Dan Shearin.
In the book, he mentioned Mrs. Robinson Bree and said his first impression when he came across her on Facebook was that she was “a beautiful blonde girl with the sassiest smile and her beautiful personality jumped out at me through the computer.”
He also wrote that when he found out Mrs. Robinson was legally blind, “my heart melted like never before.”
