A bartender has vowed never to drink and drive again after crashing into a traffic light while twice over the drink limit.
Bree Maddison Brown, 22, lost control of her silver Mazda and crashed into the light in Currumbin Waters, Gold Coast, on October 11, leaving the car ‘irreparably damaged’, Coolangatta Magistrates Court heard.
Brown, from Brisbane, was uninjured in the crash, which happened at 6.25pm Gold Coast Bulletin reported.

Brown, 22, lost control of her silver Mazda and hit a light in Currumbin Waters, Gold Coast, on October 11.
She registered a blood alcohol level of 0.117, more than twice the limit of 0.05.
Brown pleaded guilty Monday to one count of driving while over the average alcohol limit.
She told the court the crash was “a big wake-up call for me.”
Magistrate Kerry Magee said Brown was “very fortunate” she had not injured anyone in the impact.
Brown was fined $650 and her driver’s license was suspended for four months. No conviction was recorded.
