Ben Foster retires from professional football at the age of 40.
The goalkeeper joined Wrexham last March and made 12 appearances for the club as he helped them return to the football league.
In a statement announcing his retirement, Foster said: Foster said, “The honest truth is that my performance this season has not reached the level I desire of myself and I feel now is the right time to retire. ‘
