A woman who cut off her husband's penis and flushed it down the toilet has told police in Brazil she did so after discovering he had put her 15-year-old niece to bed.
The 34-year-old woman, who has not yet been named, told officers in Atibaia, near Sao Paulo, Brazil, that she had first teased her husband into sleeping with her.
But after tying his arms and legs to the bed, she took out a razor and cut off his manhood, according to local media.
After taking a photo of the severed organ, she flushed it down the toilet, she admitted on December 22.
When she later turned herself in to the police, she said she had washed it away because she “heard it was possible to reattach it.”

Earlier, she had walked into the local police station with her brother and said to them, “Good evening officer, I have come to introduce myself because I have just cut off my husband's penis.”
Her 39-year-old husband, also unnamed, was found alive and rushed to hospital, but his current health condition is unclear.
His wife is in custody and charged with attempted murder.
The investigation is ongoing and police have not yet commented on the woman's claim that he had sex with her niece.
