A Brazilian influencer was told to return to her country while waiting for Blake Lively to arrive at the New York premiere of the actor’s latest film.

Marcela Montellato filmed herself and other fans as they waited for the actress at a Manhattan theater on August 6 for a screening of the Hollywood star’s new film, It Ends With Us. A woman in line ahead of her complained that she was making too much noise.

In the video, the 23-year-old content creator talks into her mobile phone camera and shares how she is about to fulfill her dream of seeing her favorite actress.

The woman suddenly jokes that she wants “this bitch” to “stop yelling in my ear.”

Montellato pointed the camera at the woman, seen in the video wearing a pink sweater, who refused to look at her.

As the influencer tells her followers how happy she is to be attending the event, the woman becomes even more angry at Montellato’s exuberance.

“Can you stop yelling in our ear,” she snaps. “You’re not acting like a normal person.”

An emotional Montellato then tells her that she was the one who misbehaved and that she was “so rude.”

“Why are you being rude? Are you angry?” she asks.

The woman shot back, “That’s how New Yorkers are. Welcome.”

Brazilian influencer Marcela Montellato confronted a New York City woman who told her to go back to Brazil when she became angry because the 23-year-old content creator was being too loud and screaming in excitement ahead of Blake Lively’s arrival at a movie premiere

Montellato says she “finds it sad” and that it “is so sad” when New Yorkers are like this woman.

The woman’s female companion joins in the discussion and says, “You’re yelling in her ear.

The woman who confronted Montellato wasn’t finished yet and said to her, “You’re making a lot of noise behind us.”

Montellato remained calm, looked at her camera and said in Portuguese, “Guys, that’s how New Yorkers are, they’re very polite and very cute.”

The woman seems annoyed that she is speaking her native language and says, “Okay, go back to your country.”

The influencer laughs sarcastically and turns the camera to the woman, telling her, “Say cheese to the camera! … Oh, now you don’t want to talk anymore.”

Montellato, who has more than 1.8 million followers on Instagram and more than 6.4 million on TikTok, rose to fame during the COVID-19 pandemic by posting videos to brighten the mood of her friends and family members.

Her social media followers praised her for her calmness while she was being attacked by the woman in the video she captioned, “A Karen attacked me in New York.”

‘Friend, you were a huge diva and poised!!!!!!!!!!!! Proud,’ someone wrote.

“I really love you,” another follower said. “You rocked it, you didn’t lie down at any point! Like that line says, ‘those who are uncomfortable can leave.'”

However, one social media user claimed that Montellato was to blame.

‘For a Brazilian who may not be aware of cultural differences regarding personal space and noise levels, a friendly reminder: when you are abroad, it is important to be aware of cultural differences,’ they wrote. ‘In some places, people value their personal space and prefer a quieter environment. Let’s all be respectful and considerate of those around us. Remember that this is not your “home”, you are a guest! Unfortunately, a very noisy and unpleasant person.’
