Gabriel Jesus ‘is RULED OUT of the World Cup, and will also miss Arsenal’s festive games as he takes a month to recover’ due to a knee injury, reports in Brazil reveal… with Alex Telles also out

Brazil have received a double injury injury with striker Gabriel Jesus and left-back Alex Telles ruled out of the remainder of the World Cup.

The five-time world champions will face South Korea in their round of 16 match on Monday, but will now miss out on two more key men.

Arsenal striker Jesus is likely to need a month out to recover from a right knee injury.

Manchester United defender Telles, who is on loan at Sevilla, could need surgery with a knee problem and is expected to be out for longer, according to The Brazilian media Globo.

He was replaced by Pedro during the second half of Friday night’s final group game against Cameroon and was pictured with an ice pack strapped to his knee on the bench.

Telles suffered a more serious knee problem and left the field in tears during Brazil’s 1-0 loss to Cameroon on Friday night.

He was replaced by Marquinhos after 54 minutes and looked distraught as he left the field.
