Brazil hit with a SICKNESS BUG as Premier League stars Antony, Lucas Paqueta and Alisson are forced to sit out due to ‘flu-like’ symptoms ahead of Monday’s game with Switzerland – with Neymar already out with injury
Brazil’s World Cup fitness woes have continued with an illness that hit Seleção’s squad ahead of their match with Switzerland on Monday.
Tite’s side are already without talisman Neymar for the rest of the group stage after the Paris Saint-Germain star suffered an ankle injury in the victory over Serbia, while defender Danilo will also be missing for the rest of the group stage.
Now Antony, Lucas Paqueta and Alisson have all been unable to train at various points, with flu-like symptoms.

Manchester United star Antony missed two sessions this weekend, but he was able to play part of Sunday’s training alongside Paqueta and Alisson as Brazil prepared their side for Monday’s game.
Antony is likely to be an option that Tite is considering as a replacement for Neymar, but the illness may now mean other alternatives are being considered, such as Rodrygo or Arsenal duo Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli.
Neymar suffered an injury during Brazil’s 2-0 opening win and could be seen on the bench in tears after being forced off. Despite a visibly swollen ankle, he is expected to be fit for the knockout stages.

The injury marks the third consecutive World Cup the PSG superstar has suffered from injury problems. In 2014 a back injury ruled him out of the quarterfinals and four years later he entered the tournament with a foot injury.
Juventus defender Danilo is also struggling with ankle problems and his injury is worse than initially feared, scans showed on Friday. His place is likely to be taken by Brazilian legend Dani Alves, who could win his 125th cap.
Brazil will play against Switzerland on Monday and both teams have won their opening match in the group. Another win for Tite’s side would secure their place in the knockout stage.
