A group of brazen thieves were caught barging into a busy Los Angeles grocery store and stealing thousands of dollars worth of liquor as a security guard stood by idly.
The shocking video shows a gang of robbers snatching bags and armloads filled with bottles from a store before fleeing out the exit into broad daylight, amid the county’s woke District Attorney failing to be recalled.
Two bandits in hoodies were rampaging throughout the liquor section of as stunned bystanders watched the chaotic scenes unfold.
Despite the mayhem, an idle security guard was seen standing a distance away from the thieves without interfering – in the county that is known for its lenient criminal policies.
The guard hesitated to get near the robbers, but slowly crept forward to pick up what appeared to be a bag nearby after the group had caused the commotion.
A woman can be heard telling a group of bystanders: ‘Any one of you guys go and see what car they’re driving and get their license plate,’

The thieves appeared to drop some of the liquor bottles as they aimlessly attempted to fill their bags. The floors flooded with broken glass and puddles of liquor as the security guard crept to pick up a bag nearby one of the thieves wearing all black
The thieves, who appeared to be unarmed, filled multiple bags of hard liquor within seconds. One thief appeared to be wearing all black while another wore a white hoodie with black bottoms
The thieves fled within seconds out the front door of the store with their bags clinking together with each step. No one tried to stop them
Broken bottles of alcohol poured out onto the floor, as the unidentified thieves scrambled away with their duffle bags full to the brim.
One suspect was seen wearing all black, while the other wore a white colored hoodie. Their faces weren’t visible in the video and police have not confirmed if anyone has been arrested.
Street People of LA – a page known to post videos ‘documenting the third world city of Los Angeles’ – exposed the bandits on Twitter.
The video caption read: ‘Equity in action.
‘California values. Thieves steal thousands of $’s of liquor from supermarket and walk right out with zero repercussions celebrating DA George Gascon’s recall not qualifying for the ballot.’
The clip of the robbery was posted just days after progressive District Attorney Gascon failed to be recalled on Monday after organizers ruled that 200,000 signatures were invalid.
Los Angeles has seen an increase in crime rates in recent months, including more smash-and-grab robberies and home invasions. Critics have pointed the blame towards Gascon who has been for criminal justice reforms that critics have said fueled lawlessness.
The effort to recall the progressive District Attorney was the second attempt by critics after the first attempt failed last year.
Recall organizers needed to gather about 570,000 valid petition signatures to trigger an election. On Monday, the county registrar’s office announced they only found 520,000 valid signatures out of the 710,000 that were submitted.

The effort to recall the woke district attorney was the second attempt since last year. Los Angeles is one of the most populous counties in America that has seen an increase in crime
Approximately 5,705 robberies have been reported since the start of 2022 to August 6 in Los Angeles. Within the same time period last year, 4,753 robberies were documented.
Meanwhile, homicide and shooting victims statistics are neck to neck in comparison to last year – almost reaching the same amount. Overall, violent crime is up 5.7 percent with 18,852 cases since August 6 in comparison to 17,832 last year.
The city has been shocked by multiple daytime crimes, including the broad daylight murder of Brianna Kupfer on January 13 by a mentally ill man who stabbed her at random while she worked in an upscale furniture store.
