A brazen accused shoplifter who tried to get away with $500 worth of goods was stopped by the store’s no-nonsense security guard in Toronto, Canada.
In an X-video posted Wednesday, an unidentified woman was captured trying to quickly leave a Shoppers Drug Mart as a security guard continued to block her with both hands behind his back.
He then grabbed the bag allegedly filled with unpaid merchandise, leaving one of his hands behind his back as he held his phone.
The woman is heard shouting: ‘There is a no-touch policy!
‘I know my rights!’ she roared at him.

As they heatedly tugged the bag back and forth, the woman appeared irritated and nervous, while the guard remained calm and unfazed by her extreme efforts to get away.
He said to the shoplifter, “I’m not touching you, this is the bag.”
“I’m two months pregnant, let me go,” the woman claimed during the tug-of-war over stolen items.
She also shouted that she was going to pepper spray him and gestured to her back pocket. But the guard called her bluff, and she didn’t even have one.

After about a minute of struggling, during which the woman seemed to spend her entire body weight trying to pull the guard away, she finally gave up and let go of the bag.
She stormed out of the store when the security guard and a recording person informed her that she was now prohibited from shopping there. Furious about her failed attempt, she knocked over a rack on the way out.
People have voiced their opinions on the incident and how it was handled.
One user wrote on X: ‘I absolutely hate this city now. The justice of criminals is astonishing.”
Another commented: ‘Good job on that guy.’
