Bray Wyatt’s death ‘doesn’t feel real’, Paul Wight – aka Big Show – says in touching interview about the late WWE star

Paul Wight, aka The Big Show, paid a touching tribute to his late friend Bray Wyatt, who passed away on Thursday.
Wyatt, whose real name is Windham Lawrence Rotunda, died at the age of 36 after reportedly suffering a heart attack. His death was announced in a tweet by WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H.
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.comBefore his passing, Wyatt struggled with heart problems.
“I was cleared to reveal that Windham Rotunda (Bray Wyatt) contracted COVID earlier this year that exacerbated heart problems,” Ross wrote. “There was a lot of positive progress towards a return and his recovery. Unfortunately today (Thursday) he suffered a heart attack and passed away.’
Wight, now of AEW, was part of the WWE at the same time as Wyatt and shared the ring numerous times together.

Wyatt hadn’t been seen in WWE since the Royal Rumble in January in a match against LA Knight
“It hasn’t set in yet. I’ll be honest, it hasn’t really sunk in yet,” Wight told Denise Salcedo.
Bray was an incredible talent, just an incredible human being. What I remember most, will remember most, is every time he saw me; it was a big hug, and a big smile, and that smile and just the positive energy he had that he created around him was so special and so unique.
“Obviously it doesn’t feel real right now. I mean it just happened. It doesn’t feel real. Unfortunately, I’ve been in this business for a while and have lost a lot of very, very good friends.
And it will just take some time. I think I’m going to split up my work and dive into the work and probably adjust all of this when I get back home. Only your heart really dies for his family, his girls… It’s painful.’
Wyatt was and is a beloved member of the WWE universe. Since his tragic passing, several superstars, including Booker T and John Cena, have paid tribute to the Florida native.
