Wild moment ugly brawl breaks out as family fireworks in Sydney descends into chaos
Wild footage has emerged of a brawl between partygoers in the center of one of Sydney’s most popular family nightspots.
About half a dozen people were involved in the fight along Barangaroo’s wharf shortly after the weekly fireworks display at 9pm on Saturday.
Footage from the scene shows the men struggling with each other as a female spectator and security guards from a nearby nightclub tried to separate them.
You could see one of the bigger men coming up to land big blows before ending up in the air.
Others continued to grab each other by the collar, ripping one man’s shirt down the front and exposing his chest.
The brawl then spread to a nearby bench, leaving the taller man underneath another as spectators cheered and booed the fighters.
The man with the torn shirt was seen punching the tallest one before pointing and shouting in his face.
He then waved wildly at another man who came towards him with his arms outstretched, almost completely ripping his shirt off his torso.

An onlooker told Daily Mail Australia the brawl exploded ‘so quickly’ along the dock.
“One minute I was recording fireworks, the next minute it was the fight,” he said.
The fireworks display, which will be launched just before the brawl, will be set off every Saturday at 9pm from Cockle Bay, in Sydney Harbour.
While the city staged a huge fireworks display a few days earlier to ring in the new year, the City of Sydney Council considers the weekly show a top attraction.
“Whether you’re a local Sydneysider or a tourist, what better way to end dinner or entertainment than with an incredible array of fireworks at one of Sydney’s most glorious waterfront locations,” according to the website the municipality.
‘When it comes to fun things to do in Sydney, it doesn’t really get much better.’
A NSW Police spokesperson said there had been no reports of an incident in Barangaroo.
