Adelaide brawl: Wild moment foul-mouthed punch on erupts on Adelaide train in front of horrified passengers

Shocked commuters watched as a violent brawl broke out on a commuter train during the evening rush hour.

The fight broke out between two men on Adelaide’s southern border, Seaford, around 6.45pm on Friday after some verbal altercations.

CCTV footage showed a man in an orange hooded sweater throwing several punches at another man.

“I’m a stupid animal and you’re not, so get lost,” the man in the orange shirt shouted.

‘Fuck off man, you’re worthless. If you’re not trained, fuck off.’

Terrified passengers watched as a third man intervened and held the man being punched in a chokehold as the third person continued his attack.

Then a woman intervened by pressing the emergency stop button and telling the men, “Get off, stop it.”

The men got off the train at Oaklands train station in Adelaide’s south-west.

The fight started with some verbal bickering between two men, but quickly turned into a melee of wild blows

South Australia’s Transport Minister Tom Koutsantonis has vowed to track down the men and ban them from public transport for life.

“They are idiots,” said Mr Koutsantonis 9News on Friday.

‘We do not tolerate attacks on public transport, we absolutely do not tolerate them.

“I ban them for life, absolutely.”

Adelaide’s security patrols don’t start until 7pm, with the public calling for them to be extended to more normal travel times.

“I think it would be better to go during rush hour,” said one commuter.

“It would be good if they run during rush hours, say 5pm,” said another commuter.

South African Transport Minister Tom Koutsantonis has vowed to track down the men and ban them from public transport for life.

Police have been called to investigate the incident and are reviewing CCTV footage.

According to Mr Koutsantonis, there is a good chance that the men can be identified.

“We have pictures of them and possibly even their credit card information. We’re forwarding all of that to the police,” he said.
