Bradley Walsh is celebrating success as he’s set to make comeback with SIXTH series of popular ITV show

Bradley Walsh and his son Barney have proven they are an unstoppable force after being commissioned for a sixth series of their father-and-son travel show.

ITV’s Bradley Walsh & Son: Breaking Dad sees the well-traveled Barney drag his unenthusiastic father to far-flung destinations as they embark on a series of road trips.

While Barney, 25, has visited a number of tourist spots from Indonesia to San Francisco and Moscow, comedian Bradley, 63, prefers to stay at home.

However, the family members are about to fly to the other side of the world again together with television cameras to see what Asia has to offer.

A source said The sun: ‘It’s been a busy year for Bradley and Barney.

‘As well as working together on the reboot of Gladiators for the BBC, Barney lived away from home while filming Casualty, and Bradley has been busy non-stop on The Chase.

‘So they’re thrilled to be back together for a sixth series of Breaking Dad, where they really are having as much fun as it looks on screen.

“Going on another epic adventure gives them the perfect opportunity to spend some quality time together.

‘They’ve already ticked off a number of dream destinations, but there’s plenty to get started in Japan – and it’s likely to be the wildest series yet.’

Since 2019, a series has aired every January, but due to their current work schedule, a new season is not expected to air next year.

As the king of entertainment television, Bradley has amassed a fortune of £18.6 million.

But his son Barney may be catching up after landing a number of lucrative gigs – and, like his father, taking part in a bidding war between the BBC and ITV.

Sources recently said Walsh Junior was ‘inundated’ with offers after being catapulted to fame alongside his father in Breaking Dad.

Later this year, the Walshes will reunite to host the reboot of hit ’90s show Gladiators, airing on the BBC on Saturday nights – a potential ‘window’ for the Barney to land even bigger shows than his father.

Barney, whose mother is choreographer Donna Derby, also stars as hapless trainee nurse Cameron Mickelthwaite in the BBC drama Casualty. He took part in Catchphrase and played Ryan Cook in an episode of the BBC hit Death In Paradise.

Last year he appeared again alongside The Chase presenter Bradley in the ITV remake of The Darling Buds of May, The Larkins, playing PC Harness.

Barney inherited the acting bug as a child, attending drama school in Essex and making his first audition at the age of 12 for the Artful Dodger in a West End production of Oliver! He made his feature film debut as Young Arthur in Guy Ritchie’s King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword.
