Brad Pitt is ‘distraught’ over estranged son Pax’s terrifying crash – as actor takes swipe at Angelina Jolie

Brad Pitt is ‘distraught’ and angry that he has not been able to talk to his estranged son Pax, who is in hospital after his bike crashed into the back of a car in Los Angeles.

Pax was not wearing a helmet when his electric dirt bike rear-ended a car stopped at a red light on Los Feliz Boulevard at 5:12 p.m. Sunday, Los Angeles police confirmed to Dailymail.com.

Witnesses at the scene said that Pax complained of pain in his head and hip immediately after the crash.

Police and emergency services feared he had suffered a brain bleed and rushed him to hospital.

According to reports, the driver of the car did his duty by getting out and checking on the injured Pax before police and ambulance arrived.

A source close to Angelia Jolie told Dailymail.com that she is “by his side in hospital” where he is in stable condition.The full extent of his injuries is not yet clear.

Pax has been estranged from Pitt since an alleged domestic violence incident on a private jet with his ex-wife Angelina in 2016. In a 2020 Instagram post, he called Pitt a “world class asshole” and a “horrible human being.”

But despite their lack of contact, a source told DailyMail.com: ‘Brad is upset and concerned about Pax’s accident, but he can’t reach him.

“It’s very upsetting for Brad when he hears that one of the kids has been injured. He feels completely helpless because he can’t do anything about it.”

“A father’s inclination would be to go to the hospital, or call him. He’s tried so many times, but the kids don’t pick up his calls. His hands are tied.”

“Brad thinks Pax shouldn’t have been riding a scooter without a helmet in the first place – he should have been in a car,” the insider said, subtly taking a dig at Angelina.

DailyMail.com has contacted representatives for Pitt and Jolie for comment.

Pax was adopted by Jolie, 49, from an orphanage in Vietnam at the age of three.

He remains close to his mother, as do his five siblings: Maddox, 23, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 16.

A source close to Jolie blamed Pitt for his troubled relationship with Pax.

The estranged couple were recently embroiled in a heated feud after Pitt filed a $67 million lawsuit against Jolie over the sale of their Miraval wine business.

Pax was spotted riding a $3,000 Talaria Sting R MX4 electric bike through Los Angeles on July 11. He was not wearing a helmet.

California law requires all riders to wear a helmet, while all persons under the age of 18 must wear a helmet for Type 3 electric scooters. He was also not allowed to ride the off-road scooter on the road.

Pax and Angelina made a rare public appearance two days later when they went for Japanese food at the popular West Hollywood hotspot Sushi Park.

Jolie adopted Pax in 2007 from an orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, when he was three years old. He had been dumped as a newborn by his heroin-addicted biological mother.

In addition to Pax, she and Brad have five other children. Their three biological children are daughter Shiloh, 18, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 16.

Pitt later adopted Maddox and Zahara with her in 2006 and Pax in 2008.

Pitt and Jolie began dating in 2005 after Pitt’s marriage to Jennifer Aniston, 55, ended. They became engaged in 2012 and married in 2014 in Miraval, France.

Pitt and Jolie have been embroiled in a bitter divorce battle over property and custody for years.

Pax has not been seen with Pitt since Jolie filed for divorce in 2016.

Jolie filed for divorce following an altercation between Pitt and Maddox aboard a private jet from France to California in 2016.

According to an FBI report on the incident, released in 2022, Jolie accused Pitt of physical abuse after a flight to California in 2016.

She claimed he was drunk and that he grabbed her head and shook her back and forth. He later pushed her over. It was said to be a confrontation that was probably related to their children.

According to the FBI, Jolie said Pitt told the children she was “ruining the family” and punched the ceiling of the plane four times.

Later that month, his daughter Shiloh filed a legal request to remove his last name from her own name once she turned 18.
