Brad Pitt Formula One movie gets June 2025 release date – with filming continuing at this year’s British Grand Prix and Abu Dhabi season-ender

Brad Pitt, who comes to the big screen in the highly anticipated Formula 1 film, has a release date of June 25, 2025.

The film is filmed in real time during Grands Prix around the world in collaboration with Formula 1.

The untitled film involves all ten F1 teams. the sport’s drivers, the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile and race promoters.

Brad Pitt stars in the film as a former Formula 1 driver who returns to the sport alongside Damson Idris as his rookie teammate at APXGP, a fictional team on the grid.

Production on the film began last year and will continue at this season’s British Grand Prix and several other races, including the season-ending event in Abu Dhabi.

The cast also includes Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia, Samson Kayo and Callie Cooke.

The film aims to immerse the audience in the spectacle of Formula 1 and show the daily grind of the sport.

The film will also be distributed through IMAX theaters, giving viewers a Formula 1 sensory overload if they so choose.

Formula 1 has expanded its reach in the United States in recent years with Grands Prix in Austin, Miami and Las Vegas.

The film is directed by Joseph Kosinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.

Brad Pitt has dabbled in sports films before, playing Billy Beane in 2011’s “Moneyball” and Tyler Durden in 1999’s “Fight Club.”
